A Lifelong Love Affair with Marlborough. A Legacy of Excellence.

For more than two decades, Marisco Vineyards has been guided by a lifelong love affair with Marlborough.

It's a philosophy that has shaped every vineyard we plant, every wine we craft and every relationship we build. Inspired by the extraordinary character of our region and driven by an unwavering commitment to quality, we've always believed that exceptional wines begin long before they reach the bottle.

Today, we're proud to see that commitment recognised by some of the world's most respected wine competitions, critics and industry leaders.

Over recent years, our wines have received accolades from across the globe. While every award is an honour, what gives us the greatest sense of pride is the consistency of that recognition across our portfolio. Across brands, grape varieties and vintages, it reinforces our belief that world-class wines are built through dedication, experience and a deep respect for the place we call home.

A family legacy, continuing to grow

Marisco Vineyards has always been a family story.

Founded by Proprietor and Chief Winemaker Brent Marris, our business has grown from a vision to showcase the very best of Marlborough into one of New Zealand's most consistently recognised wine producers.

Today, that vision continues through the leadership of Brent, eldest daughter Emma Marris - Winemaker, along with the winemaking team led by General Manager of Winery Matt Mitchell. Together, they combine decades of experience with fresh thinking, ensuring every vintage continues to honour our heritage while embracing the future.

One of the proudest milestones in recent years has been seeing the next generation of our winemaking team recognised on the international stage. Emma Marris' growing success reflects not only her own talent as a winemaker, but also the continuation of a family legacy built on passion, curiosity and an unwavering commitment to quality. It's a story that reminds us our greatest achievements are not only measured by where we've been, but by where the next generation will take us.

Reflecting on his international recognition, Brent said:

"To be recognised with such an accolade in a global competition is truly humbling. It is a testament to the dedication of our team at Marisco Vineyards, and also to the New Zealand wine industry as a whole."

We couldn't agree more. Every recognition belongs to the many hands that care for our vineyards, craft our wines and share them with customers around the world.

Recognition built on consistency

The past few years have been particularly rewarding for our team.

International recognition has included Brent being recognised among the world's leading winemakers, White Wine Maker of the year 2025 at the International Wine Challenge, Best New Zealand Producer at MUNDUS VINI, Most Successful Exhibitor at leading international competition I.C.C.W, and most recently being named New Zealand Winery of the Year and White Wine Producer of the Year 2026 at the Sommeliers Choice Awards in Chicago.

These achievements have been earned across our portfolio - from vibrant Sauvignon Blancs and expressive Pinot Gris to elegant Chardonnays and Sparklings, Pinot Noirs and Rosés - demonstrating both the diversity of Marlborough and the depth of our winemaking. Most recently, the 2026 Sommeliers Choice Awards saw Leefield Station Chardonnay 2024 awarded a Double Gold Medal, alongside a suite of Gold Medals across both Leefield Station and The Ned. Recognition across multiple varieties and brands is something we value deeply, as it reflects the consistency of quality that underpins every wine we produce.

A commitment that starts in the vineyard

Behind every recognition is a simple philosophy: great wine starts with great vineyards.

Owning and managing our vineyards gives us the rare opportunity to oversee every step of the journey, from vine to bottle. It allows us to make long-term decisions, respond thoughtfully to each vintage, and remain focused on producing wines that truly express the character of Marlborough.

Whether it's a fresh, vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, an elegant Chardonnay or a premium Pinot Noir, every bottle is crafted with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality.

That approach extends across every part of our portfolio. From The Ned and Leefield Station to Emma Marris and our premium collections, each brand has its own unique story to tell, united by a shared belief that exceptional wines begin with exceptional places.

Looking ahead

"Recognition from our peers is incredibly rewarding, but it also inspires us to keep raising the bar."

Every harvest brings new opportunities to learn, innovate and continue refining our craft. We remain committed to investing in our vineyards, our people and the future of Marlborough winemaking, ensuring every bottle we produce reflects the quality, authenticity and sense of place that have become synonymous with Marisco Vineyards.

Whether you're discovering our wines for the first time, selecting them for your restaurant or retail shelves, or partnering with us to share Marlborough with the world, we're honoured to have you on the journey with us.

We're proud of what we've achieved together, and excited for what lies ahead.

After all, this has always been — and always will be — a lifelong love affair with Marlborough.
