A Family Milestone at the I.W.C

This September, we were proud to stand together in London at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) — one of the world’s most rigorous and influential wine competitions — and celebrate a milestone moment for our family and our team.

At the awards dinner, Brent and daughter Emma were both in the room as two generations of Marris winemaking were recognised on the global stage:

🏆 White Winemaker of the Year – Brent Marris
🏆 Great Value Champion White 2025 – The Ned Pinot Grigio 2024
🏆 Marlborough Chardonnay Trophy – Emma Marris Chardonnay 2023
🏆 Marlborough Pinot Noir Trophy – Emma Marris Pinot Noir 2023

We were also thrilled to see further gold medals awarded across our Emma Marris, Leefield Station, and The Ned ranges.

“To be recognised with such an accolade in a global competition is truly humbling. It is a testament to the dedication of our team at Marisco Vineyards, and also to the New Zealand wine industry as a whole.”
Brent Marris, Proprietor & Chief Winemaker

With over 250 international judges assessing thousands of entries blind, the IWC is a true test of consistency and quality. To have our wines recognised so widely is both an honour and an affirmation of the passion and commitment that drives us every day.

For us, the evening was about more than trophies. It was about family and legacy — Brent’s pioneering journey with The Ned alongside Emma’s fresh perspective and her award-winning Marlborough Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Together, these honours highlight not only where we’ve come from, but where we’re going.

We’re proud to share this recognition with Marlborough, New Zealand, and with you — the people who enjoy our wines around the world.
