For the first time, the gates of Leefield Station are open to the public for Grape & Gravel – a mountain biking and wine tourism event that brings together the best of Marlborough’s land, trails, and hospitality.

Designed for riders of all abilities, the course winds through rolling hills, vineyard valleys, and farmland tracks. Whether you’re riding solo, as a pair, or with a team on bikes or e-bikes, expect a day of adventure, camaraderie, and great Leefield Station flavour.

Races for all Abilities

LEEFIELD STATION'S GRAPE & GRAVEL GREAT BIKE RACE HAS AN EVENT FOR YOU...

A Free Kids Race for children under 12

The main race section will have two categories: E-bikes and non E-bikes.

Each race category will have the following events:

An Individual Event | Pair Event (2 Riders) | A Team Event (max. 3 Riders)

With two age divisions: Under 16 or 16+

Note: The inclusion of a single e-bike in a team or pair automatically categorises the team/pair as an e-bike team. To be considered for the non-ebike competition - the team/pair must all ride non-e-bikes exclusively. Teams & pairs can include children, however the ticket price will remain at list price. If a pair or team has a 16+ member, they must enter as a 16+ ticket class.

Free Children's race is for riders under the age of 12.

Course Info

With 8.2 km per lap and 90m of altitude gain, this course offers a thrilling ride through the vineyards and across our iconic property.

Each competitor or team will complete 6 laps but how you divide the race laps between you all is completely up to you! Whether you’re aiming for the podium or just out to enjoy the day, the pace is yours to set — take a break or call it early to simply enjoy the music, and soak in the hospitality whenever you please.

Children's Race is 850m Approx.
