Dine with dish has become synonymous with having a great time! We teamed up with KOL restaurant in Ponsonby, for a fabulous Dine with Dish evening (presented as "Dine with Dish and Marisco Vineyards' The Kings Series at KOL").
There have been several Dine with Dish evenings over the years and we have wanted to participate in one for quite some time! Dine with Dish is hosted by Dish Magazine, with most attendees being avid Dish readers.
Our Diamond Heart Blanc de Blanc 2018 was served on arrival and paired with two entrees of Oysters with Tomato and Cucumber Mignonette and Venison Sausage Rolls.
This was followed by our five The Kings Series wines paired with five dishes created by the team at KOL.
The King's Favour Sauvignon Blanc 2022 was paired with Tuna, Finger Lime, Radish.
The King's Desire Rosé 2021 was paired with Chicken and Saffron, Burnt Onion, Pickled Chillies.
The King's Bastard Chardonnay 2021 (a crowd favourite!) was paired with Oyster Mushrooms, Ghost, Chilli, Macadamia.
The King's Wrath Pinot Noir 2021 was paired with Spiced Lamb Ribs, Date, Gunpowder
And to finish off the evening... The Kings Series 'A Sticky End' Noble Sauvignon Blanc 2021 was paired with Quark 'mishti doi', Rhubarb, Buckwheat.
