The Kings Favour Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Best of the Best 2010 – Peter Saunders

Sound, yummy flavours from Marisco’s own vineyard with the Waihopai River flowing past. Feels fresh like the swift river, plenty of sound fruit that tastes cared for and ready to be enjoyed. Versatile with white meat courses or nibbles; enjoyable in fact anytime – into 2012.

The King’s Favour Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Peter Saunders, Best of the Best Wine 2009

A long history behind this label and its names but Marisco (in fact deMarisco) is a long-back relative of Brent Marris from the 12th century. Made from The Ned vineyard on the edge of the Waihopai River in Marlborough, succeeds in its aim to be fresh and crisply varietal and achieves this with excellent fruit weight to suit. A very refreshing, alive style for summer and into 2011 at the least.
