Shining Rosé and Sauv at Global Masters 2023

As an offshoot of the Drinks Business, the Global Wine Masters started in 2013 and is the world's leading magazine for the wine and spirits trade. The Global Wine Masters is a new approach towards wine judging, with each competition showcasing a key variety or style of wine from all over the world.

All Global Masters are judged blind by the finest palates in the world with a panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and Senior Buyers only.

Below are the results of the Rosé Masters and Sauvignon Blanc Masters of 2023!

The Global Rosé Masters 2023 Results:

GOLD:
The King's Desire Pinot Noir Rosé 2022 - "This gently-oaked rosé is a gem. Pale pink coloured, the wine has strawberry and raspberry fruit with a touch of creaminess. The palate has good concentration with lively acidity, lovely balance and depth of flavours. Plush-textured, the wine will make a good match for simply grilled rainbow trout."
SILVER:
The Ned Rosé 2022 - "Salmon Pink in the glass, balanced between ripe peach and zesty ruby grapefruit. The Palate is quite full, with masses of pink grapefruit and accents of tropical fruit. An interesting, characterful option: open, fruity and ripe, but fresh too."
Leefield Station Rosé 2022 - "Clean and zesty, driven by plenty of citrus fruit aromas, but also flowers and stone fruit. Ripe fruit emerges on the palate, showing blood orange and juicy peach, and verging on fresh apricot."

The Global Sauvignon Blanc Masters 2023 Results:

    GOLD:
The Ned Skyscraper Sauvignon Blanc 2022 - "The wine has an open and expressive nose with tropical and honey aromas. It is well balanced on the palate, with smooth texture and lovely intensity of fresh fruit, framed by crisp acidity."

    SILVER:
The Ned Sauvignon Blanc 2023 - "The wine shows very rich but fresh tropical and zesty notes. The palate is juicy with plenty of yuzu, white flowers and mandarins. A nice holistic balanced style, complex with a long finish."
Leefield Station Sauvignon Blanc 2023 - "The wine displays intense tropical aromas, such as guava, passionfruit, mango and papaya. It is fragrantly lifted with candied lemon zest. Vibrantly fruity but interwoven on the palate with green fruit,
    apricot and even rhubarb."
Emma Marris Sauvignon Blanc 2022 - "Perfumed and elegant, the nose is aromatic with green and tropical aromas such as cantaloupe melon and passionfruit. Juicy and lemony on the palate, it is bright and elegant with a crunchy acidity."
The Craft Series "Pride & Glory" Sauvignon Blanc 2022 - "This wine displays citrus aromas on the nose as well as delicate cedar notes. It is richer on the palate, with textural precision and green-fruit attraction. The finish is long."
